The PIKO Video Series

Dr. Wes Sumida – Associate Professor, Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy, University of Hawaii at Hilo. A leader in pharmacy practice for decades, Dr. Sumida’s research focuses on clinical translational research to reduce health disparities affecting Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, and Filipinos. 
Dr. Kelsie Okamura is an early-stage investigator and implementation scientist. Her Year 1 PIKO Pilot examined the implementation of a culturally grounded, school-based prevention curriculum in Hawai’i Island and Windward O’ahu public schools.
Dr. Adrienne Dillard is the Executive Director of Kula no na Po‘e Hawaiʻi (KULA), a community-based non-profit, with a specific focus on providing culturally-grounded programs and services in the Hawaiian Homestead communities of Papakōlea, Kewalo, and Kalāwahine.  She is PIKO’s Community Advisory Board Chair and experienced in community development, community based participatory research, and youth programming.
